The Geek Code is a series of letters and symbols used by self-described "geeks" to inform fellow geeks about their personality, appearance, interests, and opinions. The idea is that everything that makes a geek individual and different from all the other geeks in the world can be written down (encoded) in this very compact format. Then other geeks can read the geek code and work back from that to discover what the writer looks like, what interests s/he has, and so forth. This is deemed to be efficient in some sufficiently geeky manner.

Once created, geeks can use their geek codes anywhere they please. Previous places include emails, websites, letters, art, programming language comments, and even T-shirts. Nowadays, personal websites are the most common breeding ground, particularly any "about me" sections.

Q. I'm a Sims geek :) And I was wondering if there was a cheat code or a hack that allows you to change your Sim's clothes without having to re-create the Sim?

If the ploral word for mouse is mice, does that mean that the ploral word for spouce is spice?
Q. Okay! I obviously spelled SOUSE incorrectly the last time I posted this question, and thus broke some kind of geek/loser code of conduct because I got some pretty rediculous feedback so I figured I'd give you people another chance to prove you can look past spelling errors, and actually use that thing...oh yeah, your imagination!

A. It is plural, not ploral and spouse, not spouce. And no it's spouses. But why is the plural of goose, geese when the plural of moose isn't meese?

Geek Squad vista problem?
Q. My computer had a lot of viruses on it for a while, so I took it to Geek Squad. They did fix it, but now it constantly asks for an activation code. They said they had to erase everything and had to put on vista again. what should I do?

A. For next time, there are plenty of excellent small businesses in your area that will do it for less and better. You've experienced firsthand how shoddy Geek Squad's work is. It's not the worker's fault. It's just that GS doesn't pay enough to hire real experts, or anyone with any experience at all. For now, you should take it back to them and tell them that they need to fix it properly. Ask for the manager and explain it to them calmly. If they refuse to fix the problem for free, write to the regional or general manager of Best Buy. That will get their attention. In the meantime, if they won't fix it, either call MS yourself and have them give you a code, or take it to another place with better trained people and have them fix… [cont.]

on there for a keyboard a mouse and two USB controllers Throw Windows on there and some XBox 360 controllers and you should be all set to have a classic emulator system for really cheap I could also see one of these being used to run a Linux or FreeBSD based web development environment or something similar to that In fact I might have to see if there is room in the budget
