How much does the geek squad charge to do a complete clean out of a dell laptop?
Q. Is the geek squad any good? Does anyone know price ranges, and or other companies/people that could do it? It's very spammed up, and i'm sure there is loads of viruses. I can't say i have ever completed or know how to complete a virus scan :l thanks.

A. First of all dont pay geek squad to do such a simple job. Your probably looking at around $100. I could do it if you ask me. but you can do it too! If its a dell laptop, I would advise to look up the manual online by entering your Service Tag (bottom of the laptop) or laptop model. In the manual you will look up what buttons to press at start up (when turning on) It maybe be the F11, or F10, or F8 key. There is usually a "secret partition" that will enable you to restore everything from Factory Settings. And guess what ? its free and you dont have to do anything, just press the key and accept the changes, and wait maybe an hour or two. The other scenario is.. if your laptop does not have the secret partition (some of them do not) you… [cont.]

A. You need to be more confident. Im in the "popular beauty queens" group and we all are always confident in what we wear, do, and say. We don't let anyone put us down. We wear makeup and sometimes don't but when you are popular, people don't question what you do because you are confident! A. im a survival geek. i've played rpgs, magic the gathering, love sci-fi and fantasy, computers... etc... i wouldn't fall into uber-geek category i don't think, which is where many ideas of geek fall these days. i'm also a song writer and somehow manage to trick people into liking me and thinking i'm one of the 'cool' kids... although i've never quite understood how or why... i put out blatantly my geek interests and anti-social inclinations. but, if you like geekdom, you should check out geek survival guide. crazy awesome. and this:

A. That question is actually rather simple. You see, a dork is someone who is exceptionally smart. The type of person that puts education first before anything else. However, a dork would be considered someone to dressed "different" and acts like their dumb. With a dork, it all depends on your conduct. For example, if you have a mega embarrassing moment (like falling down in the middle of the hallway) then you would probably be considered a dork.

Q. I dont understand what happened, my brother when a teen was cute, social, cool, all my friends had a crush on him and he dated alot of girls, was a guitar player.. A. look confident (: usually those people who are getting picked on dont look like they have a very high self esteem. and i read in this book once that people who LOOK vulnerable to get kicked are definitely asking for it. if that makes any sense. make an effort to look pretty everyday and dress up and feel good about yourself (: like before a recital my piano teacher always tells me to read inspirational speeches maybe that might help to boost your selfesteem? im not saying that is low or anything just making a point also i saw in this magazine that a great way to boost confidence is exercising, which makes people generally feel more confident(: good luck!!!

Can geek squad replace a cracked iPod touch screen?

A. The main points are general phone support and a replacement warranty against failure. That may cover accidental damage too if you bought that as an option. The other points are not worth having IMHO. Their performance analysis and security service are very much one-size-fits-all off-the shelf solutions regardless of whether they are best for you, and they will attempt to sell you stuff at every opportunity if you use those services. Added to that I have fundamental concerns about the competence of many of the geeks: they do not pay much by industry standards and some of the ones I have encountered have basic misconceptions.

A. Caveat Emptor: Buyer Beware. You sound frantic. You're preparing to invest into a business but have not done solid due diligence on the business, people behind it or the laws that will protect you in case it is a scam. There are so many red flags popping up in my head right now, I wouldn't know where to start! My advice is slow down. Take a month or two to investigate further and check into these people thoroughly. Talk to successful stores and see about their experiences. Talk to others that are not successful and find out why. Is it a company problem? Is that franchise owner just a bad business manager?
