The word geek is a slang term, noting individuals as "a peculiar or otherwise odd person, especially one who is perceived to be overly obsessed with one or more things including those of intellectuality, electronics, etc." Formerly, the term referred to a carnival performer often billed as a wild man whose act usually includes biting the head off a live chicken, bat, snake or bugs. The 1976 edition of the American Heritage Dictionary included only the definition regarding geek shows. This word comes from English dialect geek, geck: fool, freak; from Low German geck, from Middle Low German. The root geck still survives in Dutch gek: crazy, and in the Alsatian word Gickeleshut: geek's hat, used in carnivals. From Wikipedia under the

Q. We were trying to decide whether or not to use the Geek Squad to set up our home network and Xbox 360 because neither my husband or I are any good at it. I've looked into it and it seems as though they charge $129 to set up one gaming counsel like xbox 360 to your home network and that seems pretty reasonable. Just wondered if anybody has used the before and are they realiable? Asked by Only Mama Knows - Sun Jan 18 21:35:42 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. its honestly very simple. do you have a wireless router. you can buy one for cheap. you dont need to spend much on one. just plug the internet into the router and then plug it in to get power and you should connect as long as you have a wifi card on your internet. the 360 requires a wifi device for $100 bucks you can but this and it will connect wirelessly to your network. its really simple. honestly i would do it myself and play around. your wasting money. call me email me and i will tell you everything you need. i do the same thing. my printers, hard drives, and 360 is all wireless. its very simple!
