How to fix Stop Error 0x0000007E (0xc0000005,0x8326F2C7,0x F8B56210,0xF8B55F0C) from BSOD?
Q. This is on a Windows XP Professional IBM ThinkPad. That was the only information in the stop error, the rest of the information on the Blue Screen was the generic information on all Blue Screens. This is not a sporadic blue screen; it happens at every start-up now, so we cannot run anything from the operating system.

Q. These codes keep coming up on my computer while booting. It's like it's not recognizing my hard drive. Help! I put a new motherboard in my old computer and also put a new chip in with ram to support it. I was hoping to use my old harddrive that has my os(windows xp ) on it but my hard drive is an ide drive and the bios sees it's there but will not even attempt to boot it it just keeps saying restart. I have another hardrive which is a sata drive that also has xp on it. The system will try to boot it but thats when I get the error codes. I've tried checking to be sure bios is correct but I'm really not sure what needs to be enabled/disabled. If I have the ide hard drive cabled to the new board at all the sata drive won't do anything.… [cont.]

A. Here's the problem. an 0x07e error is 90% time directly related to hardware. The fact that the file atapi.sys is indicated points to your hard drive, or more specifically, the standard microsoft IDE controller drivers. Now, I don't know what Operating System you have, because you did not include that. However, what you CAN do, is boot to your recovery discs and perform a soft reinstallation. In XP, this is a Repair Install. If using your recovery software for the Dell, it would be a Non-Destructive recovery.

A. The blue screen of death, also known as the blue screen of doom or simply blue screen, is one of the most notorious error messages in Windows based operating systems. To fix blue screen errors, you can safely assume that there's something going seriously wrong in your operating system. Unfortunately for us, and even the highest trained computer technicians, fixing the blue screen of death isn't always as simple as we'd like it to be, and it can take an obscure amount of PC knowledge to get to the root of the problem. 90% registry cleaner can fix the blue screen.

A. If you just installed the drive that has XP with dell chipset drivers and video drivers etc then you will need to reinstall XP Or do a repair install it will keep programs and files but may install the right basic drivers so it will boot.

A. try to get into safe mode again and if you can do System Restore back to a period before the crash. if not and you have a the install CD, there is a way to do a quick repair without wiping out the data. It sounds scary but it will reinstall your O/S without wiping out data - you may have to reinstall programs but the data will be intact.

How can I fix this blue screen of death?
Q. I don't know what the error message means! All I know is that it gives me an error message and a code of some sort that says: ***STOP: 0X0007E (0XC0005, 0X805EDD3, 0XF894D3B8, 0XF894D0B4) HELP ME. I'm on a different computer now, if you couldn't already guess.

A. They are hexadecimal codes. The computer organizes everything that it utilizes in hexadecimal. These don't mean anything important. The computer ran a stop protocol at the hex location and following sub-locations displayed. No need to worry your head over it. And @ [[DominicanGurl ]], have you never heard of paper? It is quite easy to write down the hex codes, and no one needs the geek squad to fix a B.S.O.D. appearance... @ Trevor!, uh, you honestly have no idea what you are talking about. Usually people can see if the B.S.O.D. lists a program or .dll that someone requires. And, I've had quite a few death screens before, so, nothing is wrong with it.

A. I don't know if this will install over the top of Vista, but the way you install XP is to have it boot up with the CD player instead of the hard drive. You do this by changing the setting in the BIOS (also known as CMOS). This can be accessed when it first boots and usually by hitting the delete key, F1 key or F2 key. This is before Vista starts loading. The SP1 or SP2 has nothing to do with it booting from CD. It has to do with OEM and Upgrade versions. The best alternative is to repartition your hard drive... and usualy best done with 'fdisk' ... an old utility from Win 98. Then do the above... it completely wipes off everything on your hard drive including vista. You better be sure you can get drivers for XP for your hardware. IOW, [cont.]

A. STOP: 0X0007E sometimes means: If this issue occurs after the first restart during Windows Setup, or after Setup is finished, the computer may not have sufficient hard disk space to run Windows.
